Advocate for the Government of Japan in "Southern Bluefin Tuna" Cases (Australia and NZ vs Japan), International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and Arbitral Tribunal established under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Counsel for the Government of Japan in “Whaling in the Antarctic” Case (Australia v. Japan, New Zealand Intervening), International Court of Justice.
